WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Former world number one Victoria Azarenka of Belarus rallied to beat 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams of the United States in the US Open on Thursday to reach her first Grand Slam final since 2013, where she will play 2018 champion Naomi Osaka.
The result left Palmeiras in sixth place, behind Flamengo on goal difference while Sport were 14th with 11 points.
Very little separated the two teams in the tilt, as each pair fired 46 winners on the day. Muhammad and Townsend broke serve six times, compared to five breaks for Xu and Melichar, but it was the Chinese-American team who used bold play to secure the decisive breaker.
One man down, Ajax nevertheless managed to score and secure the victory. Brazilian signing Antony, who arrived from Sao Paulo FC, gave his team the lead in his league debut. Sparta had chances to equalize in the remainder of the match, but Ajax held on for the win.

"She dug me in a big hole in the first set. I had to climb my way out of there one by one, and I was happy to turn it around, because it wasn't easy. I think it's the daily work I've been doing to find that calm mind and match it with an excited body, because I had to keep moving and bringing the energy. There's no crowd to get energy from, so I had to give it to myself," Azarenka said.
It was the first match weekend in the Dutch top-flight league since last season was cancelled at the beginning of March this year due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
During his coaching career, he won seven national championships, five national cup championships and seven super cup championships. Enditem
The announcement came a day after a 2-0 home loss to Palmeiras, a result that left Corinthians 13th in the 20-team standings with just two wins from eight matches.
Both sides traded frenetic attacks but neither was able to break the tie before the final whistle.
Financing for the Games is also robust, as a batch of domestic enterprises including automaker Geely, e-commerce giants Alibaba and sportswear manufacturer 361sport have inked sponsorship deals with the HACOG.
