LONDON, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Manchester United on Thursday confirmed the signing of Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek from Ajax in a deal worth 39 million pounds (51 million US dollars).
The announcement was made Thursday at the IFA, Internationale Funkausstellung, the world's leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances, in Berlin.
"His ability to see space, time his movements and read the game will really complement the qualities that we have in midfield and his arrival really strengthens the depth of talent we have in that position," Solskjaer told the club website.
"I didn't realize at all that it was unauthorized," Alaphilippe said, "But if that's how it is, then no worries. I'll pick myself up again and we'll forget about it."
The 23-year-old, who has previously been linked to interest from Spanish giants, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, has agreed a contract until June 2025. He will travel to Manchester to join his new teammates after the Netherlands' UEFA Nations League game against Italy on September 7.
"I was really focused each game and each point. Especially against top players, one point can make the difference. So I had to stay very calm and keep going," the world number 50 added.
Also on Thursday, former Italian international Eder scored the winner to help Jiangsu Suning beat Shangdong Luneng 1-0.
With this result, Dalian are sixth in Group A with nine points, while Henan with six points remained in last place. Enditem
